“Out of all the neighborhoods in Manhattan, Soho in particular had the charged atmosphere of a movie set, populated with passersby who looked like extras from Central Casting, so perfectly did they fit into this environment. There was the feeling of everything being not quite real, or too perfectly cliched to actually be true, and it began to rain in a fine, misty drizzle from a black patent leather sky.”

– Candace Bushnell

SoHo and Tribeca are two of the neighborhoods where New York’s past and present still collide in every block: cast-iron facades and lofts, cobblestone streets, fire escapes, loading docks, galleries, fashion, restaurants, river light, and late-night quiet. This gallery brings together my favorite SoHo and Tribeca photos, made over years of walking these streets in all seasons—bright winter mornings, humid summer evenings, rainy nights when the cobblestones shine.

Each image is available as a signed archival print, printed with the same care as my skyline and landmark work. Whether you’re drawn to the textures of old brick and iron, the energy of street life, or the calm of a side street at dusk, these SoHo & Tribeca prints are made to live on the wall and reward close, slow looking.

Archival Photographic Prints

After studying photography and printing at the International Center for Photography in the early ’00s, I’ve been obsessively photographing New York City ever since. And as a part-time historian and NYC guide, I can’t imagine there are many who have walked the city more in that timeframe.

My archive consists of both the unique, daily life in the city, as well as the classic and popular views, including the skyscrapers, skyline, Central Park, and architectural marvels, in all seasons. I work with major firms, art buyers, interior designers, and architects. I love the art of printing, getting to create, experience, and then share a little treasure.

All prints are made with museum-quality archival photography paper, are signed, and come with a certificate of authenticity. Prints are offered in a variety of sizes, I can handle or advise on framing, and I offer installation planning and services. Installing the finished products on walls is one of the most satisfying parts of the job.

In my spare time, I am also a documentary and street photographer, and I have captured a large variety of happenings around the city. I can also send customized selections of work for review based on your interests and needs.

Cast Iron and Man in Black, SoHo, 2017

SoHo Photos – Cast-Iron Architecture, Fashion & Street Life

SoHo’s cast-iron buildings and cobblestone streets have become one of the most recognizable backdrops in New York: fire escapes zig-zagging down facades, columns and cornices, big warehouse windows turned into storefronts and studios. But behind the familiarity, the light and activity change constantly.

This part of the gallery focuses on SoHo photos that show:

  • Rows of cast-iron facades with repeating windows and delicate details

  • Cobblestone streets with reflections after rain, shadows from fire escapes, and passing taxis

  • SoHo street photography—people moving between shops, galleries, and cafes, framed by iron and brick

  • Early-morning quiet, when loading docks and doorways are still closed, and late-afternoon crowds spilling into the street

Some images lean into SoHo architecture photography, turning buildings into abstractions of line, shape, and color. Others are looser, documentary SoHo NYC photos that pick up fashion, gestures, and layered storefronts. Together, they trace the neighborhood’s shift from industrial district to shopping district while still holding on to its bones.

These images tend to make strong SoHo prints and wall art, especially when printed a bit larger so the textures and small details have room to breathe.

Tribeca Strata (B&W), 2024

Tribeca Photos – Cast Iron & Quiet Streets

If SoHo is the loud, crowded showroom, Tribeca is its quieter cousin—just as full of cast-iron facades, loft buildings, and cobblestone streets, but with more space between people and more room for the neighborhood to breathe. Former industrial buildings have turned into homes, galleries, restaurants, and studios, and the streets can feel almost village-like in the right light.

This section highlights Tribeca photos that include:

  • Rows of cast-iron and brick facades with deep window bays, fire escapes, and subtle color shifts

  • Cobblestone and Belgian-block streets with long shadows, parked cars, and the occasional stroller or cyclist

  • Tribeca street photography—families, workers, and neighbors moving through a slower, more residential downtown

  • Tribeca architecture photography that leans into the geometry of cornices, windows, and intersections, often in softer, later-day light

The mood of these Tribeca NYC photos is often calmer than SoHo: fewer shoppers, more locals, more gaps of quiet between the busy corners. Many of the photographs work beautifully as Tribeca prints for homes and offices that want a connection to downtown New York without the full intensity of Midtown or Times Square. They pair naturally with SoHo images as part of a SoHo & Tribeca wall art set—two sides of the same cast-iron city.

SoHo & Tribeca Prints, Posters & Wall Art

Every photograph in this gallery is available as a SoHo or Tribeca print, produced as an archival pigment (giclée) print on museum-quality paper. The files are carefully edited and proofed so the final SoHo & Tribeca posters and wall art hold fine detail in brick, iron, and stone, along with the subtleties of light and shadow on the streets.

You can order these SoHo and Tribeca New York prints in a range of sizes—from smaller pieces for hallways and tighter spaces, to larger canvas-style prints that can anchor a living room or office wall. Most images can also be printed at custom dimensions to fit a specific wall or framing plan.

Each print:

  • Is hand-signed

  • Includes a Certificate of Authenticity with title, date, and print details

  • Is carefully packed and ships worldwide in protective packaging

If you’re choosing between different SoHo images and Tribeca pictures—a quieter side street, a busier fashion block, a more architectural study—I’m happy to help. Send a snapshot of your space and I can suggest images and sizes that work together as a SoHo-only set, a Tribeca-only set, or a mixed SoHo/Tribeca series.

Commissions, Interiors & the 25-Year NYC Archive

If you’re an interior designer, architect, collector, or business planning a larger installation of SoHo & Tribeca wall art, I also take on commissioned projects and custom print sets. Together, we can:

  • Build a cohesive group of SoHo prints or Tribeca prints that fit your color palette and design concept

  • Combine SoHo & Tribeca with other downtown subjects—Canal Street, the High Line, Hudson River, the Financial District—for a broader narrative of Lower Manhattan

  • Produce large-scale pieces for lobbies, offices, hotels, or residential buildings

Many of the images in this gallery are part of a much larger 25-year searchable NYC archive, including cityscapes, street photography, and neighborhood work across the five boroughs. If you’re looking for something specific—a certain SoHo street photography moment, a particular Tribeca block at dusk, or a corner you remember from years ago—there’s a good chance it exists somewhere in that archive. You can explore it directly or get in touch and I’ll help you track down the right photograph for your wall.
