“Central Park is the grand, green heart of New York City”
– Elizabeth Barlow Rogers
Central Park is Manhattan’s garden; the lungs of the city, and one of the great photography meccas of the world. It is a magical greenspace where New Yorkers and travelers trek from all over the world to be inspired, to see its incredible sights, to relax, or just to get lost in the woods.
I grew up a two block walk from the Park on the Upper West Side. In my youth my friends and I would drink beer and smoke weed in its dark corners at night; in my adulthood I go back to explore and escape city life.
Over the last 25 years, I’ve walked, wandered, and worked here in every season, from major snowstorms crossing Bow Bridge into the ramble to teaching workshops on late Autumn evenings with gorgeous blue-hour light.
With this collection of Central Park photo prints & wall art, I set out to capture the park at all times of day and in all weather, including rainstorms, blizzards, at night, and during sunset. The adventure was half of the fun.
This portfolio includes the most commonly requested Central Park locations, including Bow Bridge, Literary Walk (Poets’ Walk), Bethesda Terrace & Fountain, Gapstow Bridge, the Lake, the Pond, Sheep Meadow, and Central Park South, amongst others.

Archival Photographic Prints
After studying photography and printing at the International Center for Photography in the early ’00s, I’ve been obsessively photographing New York City ever since. And as a part-time historian and NYC guide, I can’t imagine there are many who have walked the city more in that timeframe.
My archive consists of both the unique, daily life in the city, as well as the classic and popular views, including the skyscrapers, skyline, Central Park, and architectural marvels, in all seasons. I work with major firms, art buyers, interior designers, and architects. I love the art of printing, getting to create, experience, and then share a little treasure.
All prints are made with museum-quality archival photography paper, are signed, and come with a certificate of authenticity. Prints are offered in a variety of sizes, I can handle or advise on framing, and I offer installation planning and services. Installing the finished products on walls is one of the most satisfying parts of the job.
In my spare time, I am also a documentary and street photographer, and I have captured a large variety of happenings around the city. I can also send customized selections of work for review based on your interests and needs.
Bow Bridge
Quiet yet grand, iconic yet peaceful. Bow Bridge is the Central Park picture so many carry in their minds – its bowed cast iron gently clasping The Lake, with hints of buildings growing in the distance.
I often head here on days with the most beautiful weather, or at dusk into night, and the Bow Bridge prints in this collection lean into that sense of peacefulness achieved on those explorations, watching misty snow, or racoons finally having free reign.
If you’re looking for classic but peaceful New York, these Bow Bridge Central Park photo prints work beautifully as a focal piece in a calm room, especially when you want something recognizably New York that still feels quiet and romantic.
Gapstow Bridge
Gapstow Bridge holds one of the most cinematic views in Central Park, & one straight out of Home Alone 2. The romantic curve of its stone, the families of ducks, the grandness of its view of the Plaza and Central Park South rising behind it, with The Pond pulling everything together.
Bow Bridge blends effortlessly into this complicated landscape with qualities that are both grand and quaint – and especially when a heavy snow softens its edges and blends it within the Park’s natural details. The bridge is is an iconic and classic Central Park landmark.
Bethesda Terrace & Fountain
Bethesda Terrace and Fountain are where Central Park turns into a stage. Every road leads here; people sit, pose, sing, give back massages, feed ducks, rowboat, panhandle, sketch, photograph, people watch.
Small weddings in Bethesda Arch, engagement shoots of people from all over the world, migrating birds chirping in Spring and Fall.
These Bethesda Terrace photographs try to capture both the beauty and the variety of the pivotal NYC gathering space.
Literary (Poets’) Walk
Literary Walk is also known as The Mall, as well as Poets’ Walk, nicknamed for the surrounding statues of famous poets at its southern end.
The Mall – that long, tree-lined avenue of iconic benches, lampposts, and statues; it is a park feature of unprecedented scale.
The Literary Walk prints in this section capture my excitement for this grand park hallway, both a conveyor through the park and a destination all on its own, from the views of the grand trees to the people, artists, and musicians lining its benches.
Winter & Snow
In my youth, there was nothing more exciting than getting lost in Central Park in winter—the bigger the snowstorm, the better.
Each of these prints recalls a special day in my life; some days getting lost on my own, others taking tourists while teaching them about the park. Each day with fingers freezing and fresh air whipping into my lungs. I can feel the adventurous chill in my bones each time I look at one of these.
Winter Central Park photo prints, printed large, can fill a space with a classic, relaxing, contemplative yet grandiose spirit of New York City.
Autumn
Autumn is when Central Park shows off–a peacock of a season. These autumn Central Park prints focus on capturing these reds, yellows, and greens that dominate the fall season.
These fall Central Park photo prints inordinately provide warmth to a room, exuding a classic but punchy view of New York City. They work especially well in living rooms, dining rooms, and offices where you want something inviting and unmistakably New York.
Black and White
Some classic views of Central Park are made for black and white, creating a beauty and an aura that is tough to match.
Lampposts, graphic tree branches in winter, the classic architecture of Bethesda Terrace in the elements, fog over the lake, the expansive city views, and the iconic bridges. Black and white Central Park prints emphasize the shape, light, and texture of these iconic views.
Night
Despite what you may have seen on Law & Order, Central Park at night is truly a relaxing and profound experience. The lights of the skyscrapers and grand apartment buildings poke through the trees; everything feels classic, iconic, & spiritual.
These Central Park night photo prints capture the glow of lampposts, the dusk dog walkers and runners, the adventurous tourists sticking around as the park truly gets dark. Often keeping my hands warm and taking in the experience while I wait for the long exposures to capture.
These moody views are perfect on deep, colored walls, or classic white, and can bring out that special nighttime feel in any room.
