Brooklyn Portrait, Family, and Event Photography
Nice to Meet You!
My name is James and it’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m assuming by reading this, you’re looking for a photographer in Brooklyn.
You can email me with your job details and hopefully, we can work together.
Brooklyn Portrait Photography
I have been a NY and Brooklyn portrait photographer since 2004, working with all types of people. My studio is portable, allowing me to work out of offices, businesses and homes. I also shoot frequently around the city in outdoor locations.
One of the pleasures of the job is to work will so many fascinating people to create memories and help capture images that show their best self. I do everything from headshots and portraits to more elaborate shoots. And I pride myself on working to make everyone feel as comfortable as possible.
Over the years, I’ve done all types of jobs, whether it’s for marketing, communications, or advertising purposes. I can do the business headshots and portraits for your company, or work on more involved shoots for marketing, magazines, and communications.
We use a portable studio to travel to offices and to do the work on location, and with the background of your choice. Or we can shoot around the city.
I have a lot of fun working with professionals in creative industries, and the goal is to show both what you do and who you are.
Whether we shoot around the city or do actor headshots, I work to capture your spirit and to create an enjoyable day as well. And we can shoot right from your studio if that is preferable.
I love meeting new people, it’s the best part of this job, whether it involves taking you to my favorite locations in the city, or coming to you to take photos in your environment.
The goal is to capture memories, and I look forward to getting to know you as well.
I have photographed a wide variety of events since 2006 in all types of conditions, working to capture the environment, spirit, and smiles of every event.
I’ve photographed professionals playing tennis in a hotel ballroom for the US Open and photographed in the Whale Room of the Natural History Museum. And fascinating conferences of all types.
I find events to always be fun and intriguing to photograph.
I learned to retouch from the SVA and working with commercial photographers and retouchers early on, and over the years I have refined a measured style of retouching.
The goal is to make people look their absolute best, while still looking like themselves.
What is working with me like?
I love to get to know the people I work with and collaborate to create what they are looking for. I work to create a comfortable environment, that allows people to look real and natural.
I am prepared and interested in the work I do, and I work hard because I enjoy it and the people who put their trust in me.
