Great to meet you. My name is James Maher and the gallery here represents both my documentary and aesthetic work from Brooklyn, New York.

I grew up in Manhattan, now live in Brooklyn with my wife and son, and have always focused on community and capturing the spirit of places, including interesting and beautiful moments, both for aesthetic and documentary purposes.

I work with collectors, businesses, consultants, and designers. I can create a customized gallery to help pick your favorites or to provide to clients.

Archival Prints

I only use archival materials and top-quality photographic paper. All prints come signed and with a certificate of authenticity.

My work has been shown in a wide variety of venues and businesses. I wrote The New York Photographer’s Travel Guide, and I have been a documentary photographer and history guide since the 2000s, which comes from a passion for the city and its history. You can read more about me on my bio page.
