“It’ll be a great place if they ever finish it.”

– O. Henry

Explore these New York cityscape photo prints from a 25-year obsessive archive—classic & unique urban landscapes, wall-worthy street photography, and beautiful NYC skyline prints of the bridges, rooftops, streets, and details.

This collection focuses primarily on architecture, urban and overall city views, including the Brooklyn Bridge and DUMBO’s Manhattan Bridge view, the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, Flatiron Building, Grand Central Terminal, and One World Trade Center, plus the High Line and Hudson Yards.

Photographed in every season and light—blue hour, dusk, night, and with harsh, gritty midday light—many images are available as night skyline NYC photo prints, long exposure New York City prints, and panoramic New York City prints. Select works also appear as black and white New York prints for a more graphic look.

All prints are archival pigment (giclée) on museum-quality paper, hand-signed and shipped with a Certificate of Authenticity. Custom sizes (including large-scale), framing, and installation are available for homes, offices, and hospitality spaces—ideal as single statement pieces or coordinated sets. I also have a vast archive of unique images, so feel free to reach out with specific inquiries. And if you’re unsure about sizing or framing, please reach out and I’ll recommend options.

Archival Photographic Prints

After studying photography and printing at the International Center for Photography in the early ’00s, I’ve been obsessively photographing New York City ever since. And as a part-time historian and NYC guide, I can’t imagine there are many who have walked the city more in that timeframe.

My archive consists of both the unique, daily life in the city, as well as the classic and popular views, including the skyscrapers, skyline, Central Park, and architectural marvels, in all seasons. I work with major firms, art buyers, interior designers, and architects. I love the art of printing, getting to create, experience, and then share a little treasure.

All prints are made with museum-quality archival photography paper, are signed, and come with a certificate of authenticity. Prints are offered in a variety of sizes, I can handle or advise on framing, and I offer installation planning and services. Installing the finished products on walls is one of the most satisfying parts of the job.

In my spare time, I am also a documentary and street photographer, and I have captured a large variety of happenings around the city. I can also send customized selections of work for review based on your interests and needs.

Brooklyn Bridge in Snowstorm at Sunset, 2010

Bridges & Waterfront Cityscapes

Throughout the collection there are countless photographs of the waterfront and New York City Bridges. From the Brooklyn Bridge and DUMBO waterfront to the views from the industrial district in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, these cityscape prints focus on the skyline, the water, and the way the bridges tie the city together—day, sunsets, blue-hour glow, and night scenes where the city turns to light.

Freedom Tower & Financial District at Sunset, 2016

Downtown & World Trade Center

Lower Manhattan is my specialty, as it is where I give most of my NYC tours. I have so many photographs with One World Trade rising in the background.

But downtown is also about SoHo, the Lower East Side, Chinatown, the East and West Village. The cast iron, the tenements, the old factories, some repurposed, others still in use.

Grand Central & Chrysler Building at Night, 2012

Midtown Icons & Classic Skylines

Midtown is the city’s iconography: Central Park, Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, Flatiron, Grand Central, Bryant Park, the New York Public Library, the MoMA, Times Square. I could go on.

Growing up nearby and giving frequent tours here, I have photographed Midtown for 25 years, and have a vast archive.

Old High Line and Pre-Hudson Yards, 2012

High Line, Hudson Yards & New Views

The High Line and Hudson Yards have skyrocketed to fame over the last decade, a glamorous neighborhood of glass, steel, and wealth.

As the inspiration for my column, Glass City, also the name of my first photography project, I have photographed this area and opined about it since its inception.

Washington Square Arch and Empire State Building at Night

Night & Long-Exposure Cityscapes

Simply speaking, there is nothing cooler than New York City at night. Exploring the city at night, breathing in the cold air in the winter with a warm scarf, feeling a cool evening breeze in the summer, daydreaming, is one of the great joys of city life.

I walk around with a small camera and shoot by windowlight, take long exposures with tripods, and explore. Since I give night photography tours as well, this allows me a lot of time to explore and find the perfect locations and lighting.

Pearl Paint Sign at Night, Canal Street, 2015

Quiet Urban Landscapes & Hybrid Street

For 25 years, I’ve built an exhaustive archive of unique or modern spins on classic views. Strictly speaking, top quality views with great lighting on great paper—photographs which let the architecture speak for itself.

But I also have galleries of the opposite, quiet, unique, everyday or out-of-the-ordinary views. And images to capture the psychological side of the city.
