“An urban science fiction”

– Rem Koolhaas

This portfolio consists of New York architectural photography prints, including Grand Central Terminal, the Chrysler Building, the Brooklyn Bridge, Washington Square Park, the Empire State Building, the American Standard (Radiator) Building, One World Trade Center, Rockefeller Center, the Manhattan Municipal Building, the Old City Hall Subway Station, SoHo cast-iron buildings, and more.

The portfolio consists of both New York landmark prints and NYC architecture prints. As an NYC guide, much of my job is spent exploring the city with others, and over the years I have sought out the best lighting for these urban photos, and through difference seasons, daylight and night—some as black and white New York prints and others as color.

All images are available as fine art prints or for commercial and licensing purposes as high-resolution files. Prints are available in large-scale sizes.

Archival Photographic Prints

After studying photography and printing at the International Center for Photography in the early ’00s, I’ve been obsessively photographing New York City ever since. And as a part-time historian and NYC guide, I can’t imagine there are many who have walked the city more in that timeframe.

My archive consists of both the unique, daily life in the city, as well as the classic and popular views, including the skyscrapers, skyline, Central Park, and architectural marvels, in all seasons. I work with major firms, art buyers, interior designers, and architects. I love the art of printing, getting to create, experience, and then share a little treasure.

All prints are made with museum-quality archival photography paper, are signed, and come with a certificate of authenticity. Prints are offered in a variety of sizes, I can handle or advise on framing, and I offer installation planning and services. Installing the finished products on walls is one of the most satisfying parts of the job.

In my spare time, I am also a documentary and street photographer, and I have captured a large variety of happenings around the city. I can also send customized selections of work for review based on your interests and needs.

Midtown Landmarks — Empire, Chrysler, Flatiron

Perhaps besides the Brooklyn Bridge, there are no icons more famous than the ones in Midtown, from the big to the small, from Bow Bridge to the Empire State Building, from the beautiful cast iron of the Flatiron building to the art deco majesty of the Chrylser Building.

Search the archive for Empire State Building photo prints, Chrysler Building photo prints, Flatiron Building photo prints, and more.

Grand Central & Chrysler Building at Night, 2012

Grand Central & Beaux-Arts Landmarks

Grand Central is the hub of New York, with iconic architecture, subway, metro, crowds of stationary tourists looking up and bustling commuters looking down.

Arches, sculptures, windows, stairs, stone, and a fresco of the skies on the ceiling, Grand Central is a masterpiece of Beaux Arts architecture, and in this portfolio, alongside a grand central terminal photo print, there are new york public library photo prints, the manhattan municipal building photo prints, and the american radiator building photo print (American Standard).

Brooklyn Bridge in Snowstorm at Sunset, 2010

Bridges & Civic Engineering

The Brooklyn Bridge is like a canvas that can look different in all lights and seasons and weather, with views from the water, on the bridge, from the Manhattan Bridge, with undulating crowds.

Brooklyn bridge photo prints are about architecture, iconography, about the people who cross, and about classic views, particularly from the Dumbo waterfront and Manhattan Bridge.

Rockefeller Center & Flags, 2017

Rockefeller Center & Fifth Avenue

A hub of capitalism in architecture and design, Rockefeller Center is one of the most spectacular icons of early-to-midcentury American architure, the only major project built during the Depression, and one which kept industry going in New York City and the country.

These rockefeller center photo print are light and airy as the buildings reach into the sky, and the views from Fifth Avenue and grand yet delicate.

Freedom Tower & Financial District at Sunset, 2016

Lower Manhattan — One World Trade Center

Lower Manhattan has it all, through SoHo, Tribeca, the West and East Village, NoHo, Chinatown, Wall Street, and One World Trade Center, also known as the Freedom Tower.

Lower Manhattan is an ever-growing architectural delight. In this archive are many One World Trade Center photo prints, with images where the building is shown grandly, and others where it peers or peaks out in the far background of grand landscapes.

Many of these work best as black and white New York prints; while others sparkle with color of the sun and lights shining off of the glass.

Cast Iron Building Details 1, Greene Street, 2023

SoHo Cast-Iron & the Grid

Cast Iron was a short but sweet architectural phase in America, creating grand structures made to look like the carved stone tenements, but in pre-molded casts that were much easier to make (but not so safe for people to work in).

As I spent most of my time in the area, these soho cast-iron photo print capture a bit of everything, from the classic views to interesting people shots in front of the gorgeous building details.
