Let’s Have a Magical Day

Central Park Wedding, Engagement, and Proposal Photography

Central Park Wedding and Engagement Photography

one of the most important days of your lives. I photograph engagements of all types, and weddings small and large throughout Central Park. No matter what your vision is, there is a place in the Park that will suit it, and I would love to help you figure it out and pull it off. I always consider myself to be so lucky to be able to pop into such wonderful moments in peoples’ lives, in such a magnificent place, and to do my part to help make it as special as it can possibly be.

Please feel free to contact me directly to explain your ideas, and I will be excited to create a plan and send you a quote.

Surprise Your Loved One

Central Park Engagements

Propose in one of the most romantic places in all of New York.

I have organized some very elaborate and sneaky proposals, so let me make you look good on the day. No one has figured it out yet!

Tell your loved one that you are organizing a couples photography session through Central Park. I’ll show you the best sites, take some memorable photos of the both of you, and give you some fun and fascinating history of the areas.

Then we’ll have a pre-determined location for the proposal (I can give you a variety of my favorite spots to choose from), you’ll pop the question, and we’ll take some happy photographs afterwards!

Remember the Day

Central Park Weddings

Spend your special day in the most magical place in New York.

There is just nothing like a wedding in Central Park. The grand architecture, the trees and foliage, the hidden locations. There is no place like it.

I can help you choose the best spot for the wedding, whether it’s under the Bethesda Terrace Arches, in the middle of one of the other grand areas of the Park, or hidden away in one of the many quiet and secret areas that the Park has to offer.

Either before or after the wedding we can go and explore a variety of locations to take couple and/or family photos, no matter how many people you want to bring along (or leave behind)!

The Grand and Romantic Park

I grew up just two blocks from Central Park on the Upper West Side. As kids we would rollerblade, bike ride, and play baseball as often as possible. As teenagers, we would sneak to hidden areas of the Park at night to drink beer or smoke some pot (this has led to my adult obsession with photographing the Park at night).

I am also a certified tour guide and teach photography and history to all types of people and photographers. So whether it’s an engagement or a small or large wedding, I always bring my passion for the Park, it’s incredible locations, it’s history, and what it means to the city to every job that I am lucky enough to do there.

“James was great! He was early to the wedding and was very versatile in helping us with the photo locations. The photos turned out beautiful and everyone in the family loved them! Also, we received some of the best pictures back the next day, and the rest four days later! I would definitely recommend James when looking for a photographer.”
