Stories & Documentary

Glass City (2005-2025) is a 20-year study of the luxurification of Manhattan and its effect on the psyche of its inhabitants. The project explores the idea of what it means to be a creative neurogivergent survivor in a city of glass and capital—how ordinary people improvise meaning, dignity, and beauty in the shadows and reflections of a landscape built to pass them by.

What is REAL and what is FAKE? HYPE: 10 Blocks, 10 Years, 10 Sneakers (2013-2024) is an alternative history book tracing a path through SoHo and Canal Street, a neighborhood that became the physical manifestation of hype culture during the early social and influencer decade.
The walk takes us through the luxury capital of Downtown NYC, exploring the object of the sneaker, the luxury brand, the cast-iron SoHo factory building, and street style and fashion culture, to trace how hype and capital have reshaped the identity of the city, block by block.

HYPE
GLASS CITY
Glass City takes place within the backdrop of the current and intense wave of luxurification and hyper-gentrification occurring in Manhattan since the early 2000s. It is a glimpse into life in Manhattan as the borough transforms itself into a luxury product.
It is about the resulting feelings of disconnection, anxiety, conformity, and lack of purpose caused by this changing and intense environment.
All a Dream
All a Dream is a project capturing the quirks and lively spirit that can be seen while wandering Brooklyn. While the photos are mostly devoid of people, this project captures their spirit through the environment. It is about culture, community, and being unique.
Flowers are a recurring motif and act as stand-ins for photos of people.
Speedway
Speedway began as a project documenting my local Speedway gas station a block from home in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn.
I began to see so many interesting things there while walking by that I decided I had to start documenting it, and what resulted was a glimpse into the community and culture of Brooklyn.
However, what started as a project about a gas station eventually morphed into a friendship with a homeless artist who named himself Mango Salso, and who sits on a rock outside the gas station painting and feeding the pigeons. The project becomes about this man, his spirit, and his art.
